Construction Build and Recycling Hope Thrift Store Volunteers
To be eligible to participate on construction builds all volunteers need to complete the following Online Safety Training and Quiz and the volunteer packet (usually given out the first day of work).
To complete the online safety training please follow the steps below:
1. Visit the following website: www.hfhvolunteerinsurance.com
2. Follow the instructions under the tab in the middle of the page labeled “Volunteers”. Click on Begin Now, under the Free Online Volunteer Safety Training Course – Helping You Work Safely With Habitat picture. Copy the access code. Review the instructions and then click on “Take Training Course Now.” Enter the code and click submit.
3. Please review the course labeled “Fall Safety” , as well as the one labeled “Volunteering” in this website. If working at the Recycling Hope Thrift Store please also view the “ReStore Safety & Loss Control”. Take the quizzes at the end of each video.
4. Upon completion of each quiz, you will be given your score. Click on “Record Results” to record your results. Then enter your first and last name, select the location (Tennessee) from the drop-down menu and submit. On the next page be sure your name is spelled correctly, Enter the HFH by select “Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity” from the drop-down menu, then select “Volunteer” or your appropriate association, enter your email and submit. After completing step 4 you have successfully completed the online safety training for our affiliate. Thank you and we look forward working with you to build homes, communities, and hope!
