Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity is closely monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and wanted to update you on our efforts to protect the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, partners, and guests. At this time, we will be closing our store and office to the public until 3/31/20. We take our responsibility to care for our staff, customers, and our community very seriously. We look forward to the time when we can safely re-open. Our office will remain able to accept phone calls. Please feel free to contact us @ 423-581-1661. Thank you for your patience and understanding. God Bless.
In addition, we are providing guidance to staff, volunteers, partners, and guests on the best ways to prevent illness, including:
Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider.
Wash your hands frequently. Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based (60 percent) hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
Avoid hugs and handshakes. Use alternate ways of greeting people and maintain at least 3 feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth and can make you sick.
Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early.
Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
We invite all people everywhere to build together in partnership. Volunteer and help families in need of decent and affordable housing strengthen their lives and communities. Everyone needs a foundation to build a future. Every home is a building block. Every home improvement gives children a better chance for a strong future. Every donation helps a family help themselves. Every helping hand makes a difference. Give strength, stability, and the hope of a better life.
Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. – Philippians 2:4 ESV
